From an early age Jeff
has been a dedicated practitioner of Pak Hok Pai (White Crane Kung Fu
System). He has learnt much about discipline training, healthy
lifestyle and use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) within the
White Crane system. Over the years his passion grew from the fighting
aspect of the art to also embracing the medicinal and cultural aspects
of the style. As a result, he pursued a degree at the University of
Western Sydney where he studied for six years and obtained a bachelor
of Applied Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
As part of his internship Jeff
went to Nanjing in China, where he furthered his education at the
Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Here he
received intensive training in acupuncture, internal medicine, oncology
and paediatrics division of the hospital.
On
a separate occasion he decided to go back to Nanjing to a Traditional
Chinese medicine hospital in Qinhuai District and was shown moxibustion
techniques unique to this hospital. Direct and indirect moxa was used
in the treatment of both acute and chronic pain, infertility and
conjunctivitis amongst other conditions and diseases.
Currently Jeff
is using his experience gained from overseas in his own private
practice and conducts seminars educating the community about the health
benefits of TCM. In clinic he takes the time to listen and understands
that everyone is different. He looks at the whole picture as part of
his diagnosis and applies combination therapy to treat the individual.
Some of the areas Jeff
provides treatment for include infertility, menopause, fibromyalgia,
chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, insomnia, headaches and
muscular/skeletal pain.
